Elizabeth (Beth) Marler, MSN, RN, PHN, SNSC, is a nurse educator who works with a diverse student population, to include both K-12 children and adult nursing students. Beth understands the importance of relevant continuing education for the specialty of school nursing. Over the last ten years, Beth has garnered the respect of public education staff, families, and fellow school nurses by providing guidance in health services. Beth has been recognized multiple times as support staff of the year and during the pandemic, was chosen to serve as a liaison on her school districts COVID-19 committee.
Beth was inspired to start Motive Education & Consulting because she believes in elevating the school nursing profession and by supporting lifelong learning. Beth holds a bachelor’s degree of science in human development, a master’s degree of science in nursing (concentration in nursing education), and a school nurse services credential. After graduation, Beth began working as a school nurse for Lake Elsinore Unified School District, and in more recent years, began working as a nursing instructor for West Coast University. While staying active in the profession, Beth is now focused on creating an amazing resource for school nurses to access continuing education and staying up to date on best care practices in school nursing. When she is not busy, she enjoys spending time with her family, scuba diving, and vacationing in warm tropical destinations
